The Company

Our client is one of Ireland’s leading Life Science distributors, employing over 70 people with annual revenues exceeding €40 million. Supplying laboratory and biotechnology instrumentation, consumables and technical services to the pharmaceutical, medical device, academic and research sectors, they exclusively represent a portfolio of world-leading manufacturers.

Following several years of sustained double-digit growth, achieved through both organic expansion and strategic acquisition, they are now looking to invest in the next generation of commercial talent through the appointment of a Trainee Laboratory Sales Executive.

The Role

This is a great opportunity for a scientific graduate with some industry experience looking to transition into a commercial career.

During your development, you’ll gain hands-on experience across several departments, including stores, customer support, internal sales and commercial operations, developing an in-depth knowledge of the company’s products, customers and processes before progressing into a field-based Laboratory Sales Executive position managing customer accounts within the academic sector.

Supported throughout by the wider commercial team, you’ll learn how to manage customer relationships, identify new business opportunities and provide technical sales support to customers.

Applicants should possess a degree in a Life Science discipline (or similar) together with excellent communication skills, a willingness to learn and the ambition to build a long-term career in technical sales.
