Client is one of Ireland’s leading providers of diagnostic instrumentation, laboratory equipment, calibration and validation services to the hospital, pharma production, research and academic sectors. Exclusively representing many of the world’s leading scientific manufacturers, they supply an extensive portfolio of systems, products and technical services spanning molecular diagnostics, microbiology, clinical chemistry, immunology, haematology, blood collection & point-of-care diagnostics & laboratory automation.

Customers are supported by an experienced commercial team, highly trained application specialists and a nationwide network of field service engineers.

The Role

Looking to appoint a Field Sales Executive to manage an already well-established territory and customer base.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and developing an existing customer base whilst identifying new business opportunities.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with customers across healthcare, research, academia, and pharma
  • Working closely with the Applications and Service teams to deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Representing the company at conferences, exhibitions and industry events.
  • Managing customer activities and opportunities using the company’s CRM systems & other IT tools.  
  • Regular travel to customer sites across Ireland.

Suitable candidates are likely to possess:

  • 3rd level Scientific qualification
  • Excellent presentation, communication and relationship-building skills.
  • High level of motivation & personal drive
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to work independently in a field-based role.
  • Commercial awareness with a genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
  • Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel extensively throughout the Republic of Ireland.
